He has made four appearances for coach Gernor Rohr’s side since the start of the competition last month, but finally got his breakthrough against the Bafana Bafana. At the end of the match, Chuekwueze also bagged the man of the match award to crown his efforts all through the match for Nigeria

Meanwhile, he could be joining a top club this summer having being linked with a move away from his present club

The Super Eagles booked their spot in the last four stage with an impressive 2-1 win over rivals South Africa at the Cairo International Stadium.
